I was somewhat disturbed when I logged into Twitter this evening and thought there was something in the air when I saw my Twitter stream displaying various pictures of arms sliced open and blood trickling into sinks!
Gossip site TMZ released photos of Justin Bieber purportedly smoking a joint.
There seems to be a new trend – to cut yourself for Justin Bieber #cutforbieber – So this celeb Justin Bieber has smoked some weed it seems and his fans are asking him to stop by saying they will stop cutting when he stops smoking?
Surely if his fans cared that much for his health then why are they putting their own in danger?
If they dislike what hes doing so much and want him to stop and they want to prove a point, would it be not more effective if they stopped following him on Twitter, stopped buying his albums and didnt go to his concerts? Surely then he would notice?
Do these young girls really think he cares about what they are doing? That hes going to start tweeting them pleading with them to stop? My guess when he gets drift of this will be “What type of crazed fans do I have?”
Yes utter crazy but my biggest fear is I know so many self-harmers on Twitter and I have spoken in private to a handful already in the last hour who feel these images are triggering their own urge to cut.
Twitter needs to ban this hashtag and the users posting these images

Yes I even tweeted Justin Bieber begging him to ask his fans to stop – no reply as one would guess
Please hit report on all images of self harm trending - lets take action
I used to love Twitter but now I am thinking Twitter needs to be doing more to monitor its users
The images are disturbing and I apologise but sometimes pictures speak a thousand words!
Does Twitter need to step in? Or am I being over sensitive?

I have spoken to so many self harmers who feeling stressed over this tonight – if it was racism to a footballer it would have been removed hours ago

actually just looked this up on twitter its disgusting!!! amazes me how facebook can close down a profile due to it being used as a group (our mums group) and yet on twitter they are able to post these pictures…!! Also think of Bieber… ok im not his biggest fan but not due to him as a person…. how is he feeling seeing this is all because of him!?! Im actually very very shocked and disgusted over this!! Twitter need to act now i cant believe they are standing back and allowing it to happen!

This article actually made me sick young vulnerable girls lowering themselves to this level in order to make justin bieber stop drugs. He should take action straight away to this not find it funny and think its fan mail when in fact its a cry out for help disgusting

omg, how can these pictures be allowed on there!?!? And i dont mean to offend, but those girls seriously need to get some help if they are cutting themselves to stop a star doing what he is doing. Its been ten years since my first cut, 2 years since i stopped for my kids sakes, every days a struggle, seeing pictures gives you urges, many of us carry around the scars and have to put up with the comments we receive, those ‘fans’ are making it harder for those who try to prove self harm isn’t for attention, twitter should have removed this the minute it went up.

Seeing this just made me physically sick. I dont know why anyone would even think it would be a good idea!! Some people will do anything for attention and this is absolutely ridiculous. I am worried that if twitter do stop it, they will just find somewhere else! I think they need to hunt these silly girls down and drill some sense into their heads! This is saddening.

I didnt comment much on this at the time as quite frankly I was really disgusted that such things could be on twitter and allowed to stay. Im not a twitter follower and nor am I a belieber. The kid as that is all he is, is a giant knob. He thinks hes all that and then some because half of the teenage female populus want to nail him, and hes now all that as he has followers cutting in his name. I know he hasent actively asked them to do it or condoned it I dont think? but hes got to wise and man up and realise when your in the public eye then anything you do or say is open to such things.
Today I see he went to see something to do with Anne Frank and his comment was she would have been a belieber. His own self importance is now soiling the person that fought for her rights to be free and still died in a nazi concerntration camp.
