Bullying along with a lot of other things but it was defo what started it x

  2. I was bullied for years. By family by people who were in school with me. It’s not fun and the only friends I had were the cat and the dog.
I used to have the cat on my lap in the shed out the back of the house and cry hysterically at the the cat asking the cat why no one liked me.
I still dont know to this day why no one liked me then. Sometimes, if people are being fake towards me, it does still get to me at times. Other times I dont give a flying rat’s arse! Depends on my frame of mind that day.
I have many many issues and bullying did play a part in those issues. I’m sorting myself out though, with the help of a doctor!

  10. So very true. My own personal experience of being bullied constantly for 10 years makes me wish schools and institutions would come down harder on bullies. I would like to see bullies taken and locked in a dark, cold police cell for a night with basic rations (bread, water). I would like it to be made clear to them that this is their future if they continue to bully. This probably seems very harsh but bullying is torture, plain and simple. I have attempted suicide several times because of bullying, which was in some cases undertaken by adults as well as children. Only now in my 30s am I actually starting to get some help, because being treated in this way scars you for life. Many people say that those who bully were bullied themselves: I think that’s the worst kind of bully, because you know the pain it causes and you are wilfully inflicting that on another person. I remember calling one of my friends out on it as a teenager; just because we had been bullied I could see no reason for her to pick on someone else.
The current Hollyoaks storyline on bullying is commendable. It shows how manipulation is a massive part of bullying.
If you are being bullied, speak out. It seems impossible but there are people who can help you.
