An Abuba neck swimming ring allows practicing freestyle baby swiming both at home and outside promoting baby fitness in a fun way. Says Abuba but some mothers are not giving much positive feedback to these new swimming aids.
To be honest I don’t much like the look of a baby being held up out of the water by its head, what if the head slipped through the inflatable ring?
Over 1 million of these neck swimming rings have been sold in Europe alone
These can be used from 4 weeks of age? I am not quite sure why any mother would put her month old baby in the swimming pool with a ring around its neck, but hey each to their won I guess.
“That’s awful. What if another kid yanks on it? What’s wrong with the normal baby rings?” Says one mum on my Facebook group
” Its disgusting aint it , why the hell would you put a ring around a babys neck
the all in one suites with floats is what my little boy has”. Says another mum
What do you think of the Abuba neck swimming rings?

I think it’s great that the baby can move his/her arms & legs around like that but I defo do not like the idea of the baby being held up by the neck! Who the hell thought that was a good idea?! x
I also like the idea of freestyle swimming buttt is never want ti buy one hand have my child held up by the neck with it..it just looks so wrong x
omg :/ i agree with i like that they can freestyle but i dont think under 2yr olds should wear one , i don’t like the idea of been dangled by their necks :/ hmmmm xx
I wouldnt use it on a 4 week old but might in my 20 month old
I don’t like any floaty device on little babies . Here’s a crazy idea – why not hold your 4 wk old in the pool? It’s not like the baby weighs a tonne!
We use floaties and bubble packs for our kids by around 12 months, but always within arms reach of an adult..
I don’t swim with a rubber ring round my neck so why would I put my child in one? And are a 4 week olds neck muscles really developed enough for something like that?
I had a larger ring with a seat in for both my children. Safer I think.
WTF??? My son is 4 and I wouldnt even use one of these on him, never mind a 4 week old. Seriously people use these??? Hows about they use one first then tell me they would use it on their child. They look so unsafe
I saw these on eBay earlier and thought omg I can’t get get over it I use the floaty jacket for my 2 and 3 yr olds couldn’t imagine putting one on a baby x
People are buoyant in the water meaning the water holds up the body. Many test this by “resting” in the water by floating on their backs. Neck swimming rings don’t put strain on the neck as they don’t hold babies above the water it simply uses the natural buoyancy and helps to keep the head above the water. As a result baby can use hands, legs and the whole body to swim and get an exercise. This is an excellent idea and a great product. My four months old loves us.
Will definatly not be buying one, they look uncomfortable x
I am a mother of two, one is six weeks old, the other one is two years now. I loved the Abuba ring from the start and used it on both my babies. My babies are developing much faster then kids of similar age in my opinion because they are allowed to swim freely every day. They are both super calm and cheerful. After using the ring the six week old sleeps through the night. This is a great product and I recommend it to every parent! It is amazing to see your little ones so happy in the water.
No way would I use one of them!
Freestyle swimming is good, but would never use one of them x x
I dont think id personally use one on auron.. if i saw it a shop id definitely walk away. Just personal preference :/ x
Cant say that I would want to use this with my child….I would have to research it a lot!
looks strange but i’d prob give it a go, from about 4 mths old, not a teeny tiny baby x
If I had a baby I might give it a go. Come on ladies. Don’t knock something until you’ve tried it. Did Sophia use one for Chloe in the end? X
I wouldnt dare use this with my son!! we go swimming at least once a week, originally I bought a floaty seat for him to sit in, but he has never used it!! I prefer to hold him in the water so that he gets used to the position in the water that he needs to be in, and that he gains water confidence. This device looks like it would strangle your baby, I wouldnt dare!! x
no no no no no no dont like the look of this at all no way would i use this!
never! im sorry but there is no way i would put a ring around my baby neck and put them in water x
no no no no no wouldnt even dream of putting my son in it ill stick to holding him of putting him in the seat one x
Oh god that is soo wrong and looks so dangerous! I would never use 1 ever! x
il be honest that looks kinda scary..altho shudnt knock something till its tried
i dont think i cud use one the thought of something round my babys neck just gives me shivers
Eh what? this is so wrong! and the guy in the video is turning his back and far out of arms reach of that child! What is he slipped in to the water! Shocking!
I really don’t like the look of these at all, I wouldn’t want to use one on my child at all. x
I don’t hink it’s as bad as it looks x
looks dangerous
Really don’t like the look of this :/
Don’t really like the idea of it being round babys kneck!
Xx
Still scare me
