Adolph Hitler as we all know was the ” ruler absolute” of Germany from 1934-1945. He was the former and leader of the Nazi party and under his reign he sparked a war and was responsible for the deaths of over 50 million people but was he stupid or a genius?
Hitler was born and raised in the poorest slums , watching people struggle to survive and under his jewish grandmothers care shown cruelty. Growing up he became convinced that it was her jewishness that caused him to hunger, and made a vow to eradicate that. To make the world better.
Turns out Hitler was a man of his word. As nobody thought to tell him it was poverty not the Jewish religion that caused hunger as an adult he formed a plan. To take Germany back to a country of pureness he would need to go back to its roots. The Blond haired, blue eyed founders who made the country great. That meant the removal of the Jewish people who ruined it. With their dark hair and dark eyes they were the enemy.
His master race would breed strong, healthy, vibrant TRUE Germans with German blood inside them. Throughout his reign millions and millions of people died at his say so. They were put into concentration camps, starved, shot, gassed, anything that meant they were out of sight and out of mind.
These Jewish people were not people they were vermin, experiments were conducted on them to see if the religion could be taken from them.
Hitler inspired thousands of people to serve him, to carry out his word, his wants. Hitler was not a man of menace. It was never a case of do this, kill these Jews or ill chop your family up, to all intents and purposes he was a bloody clever public speaker. Was able to brainwash and manipulate with words.
He was clear about his intentions, he was honest about his hatred and his desires, but nobody once said ‘ mate its a bit extreme’. Hitlers powers lay in his influence of people, a bit like an evil Paul Kenna, and his uncanny ability to exploit the Germans stupidity. Back when he was banging on about blonde’s being the way forward not one person is known to have said ‘ Here Hitler awkward question but why are you exempt? You have dark hair, so your impure!’but no, they all took his word and acted on it. Hitler was by his own definition everything he physically abhorred in his country and everything he sought to wipe out. But nobody saw it.
Was Hitler a magician? Was he a hypnotist? Whatever he was, however he did it he made the Germans look stupid.
It takes one thought to change a mindset, and one mindset to change the world.
Hitler compared to other dictators of our times was quite the piker, he never took part in death, he instructed it.
But the man is also a genius. He has become one the biggest mass murderer of our time , he changed the world, he changed history, he changed Germany, the Jews and was responsible for over 50 million peoples lives ending purely on his say so.
He did all that without ever once getting his hands dirty. That takes some kind of skill.

There is alot i could say about this subject but I don’t think people can handle it so going to be good lol. I mean yes of course because of him thousands and thousands of people were killed but i don’t think he was evil or stupid. Seriously people still now worship him and he is talked about on a daily basis. Evil genius comes to mind, Some people think the world would be a better place if he was still in charge but most people cringe and feel disgusted whenever his name is mentioned. And i think that people have taken the nazi sign and are making it alot worse as they say they are “nazis” with their Swastika signs and aggressive ways. But Hitler never actually killed anyone. Xx
He never actually killed anyone?! Are you serious?! Are we trying to say saddam hussain is a evil genius? Osama bin laden?! Regardless of whether or not he physically killed anyone he was a very sick man who took advantage of an entire country. He is no more better than a terrorist with his warped views on what is right for the world. Misinterpreting things to suit his gain.vile human being. If he was any kind of genius he would know tht the Jews as a race didn’t cause his hunger as a child!
I think he was a clever man he got alot of people thinking like him but i dont think he is all that different from many of the leaders in the world now
He was neither .. he was a monster! Doing history at school and actually visiting Auschwitz myself I find it very upsetting how some man can do that and cause that much harm and hurt. I spoke to an Auschwitz survivor and I have NEVER cried so much in my life .. he described how he had seen Hitler beat his mother and father, he managed to hide but he had to witness his family being dragged into gas chambers and pretty much slaughtered. I walked into the gas chambers and you could actually see where people had tried clawing their way out, there was scratch marks on the wall. The museum was full of peoples shoes, their clothing, their hair, their teeth. He was a sick, twisted individual .. sorry about the rant, I have strong feelings for this topic. And sure he never raised his hand/hun whatever and killed someone but his actions had MILLIONS killed .. that’s like me wanting someone dead telling someone to do it and saying I didn’t do it?

Iv done a lot of research etc on Hitler and believe it or not he was a good leader apart from the obvious evil things he did. he built the economy up, brought employment up and did lots of great things for Germany but all his positives are obviously and rightly over looked by his evil.

I think he was messed up with his childhood and needed help, mentally. Now a days he’d just get locked in a padded cell lol x
the man was messed up in the head! ok so he never physically killed anyone, but hes still a murderer he ordered a whole army to kill innocent people because of what he believed. stupid?? most definatly. evil?? that one i cant answer that without more research, the man obviously had issues causing him to be the way he was, a genius?? yes he managed to brain was an army of how ever many men to kill without getting his own hands dirty, being questioned or having his own looks scrutinized

The man evil and disgusting as he was, He ruled the world at that stage and there has never been anyone like that since no matter how hard they try, Yes he was a clever leader but his choices of using his power were overall stupid. He did change the world though.
I am not certain what prompted this post and I am not entirely clear on the purpose of it.
Hitler was a leader, a very good leader, who was able to prey on the fears and insecurities of a country unfairly put at fault for the First World War. Germany was left economically ruined after that war and he was able to manipulate the sorrow of his country into following him.
Hitler was also a terrorist. He led through fear, torture and brutal killing. His beliefs were truly disgusting. His actions even more so. He, like so many other brutal leaders who have used fear, torture and killing, took humanity back its basic most brutal form and the entire world is worse off because of it.
I believe that it is important to look at our history, to learn from our history and to be aware of how the past affects the present and the future. What I don’t think it necessary or positive is the need to label the past. Was he stupid or a genius? Was he evil or mentally ill? None of that contributes to making the world we now live in a better place. What it does is create divides and has the potential to turn a brutal dictator into a martyr and that would be a complete travesty.
The post was submitted as a guest post by a mother who is interested in History – the views are rather interesting and as child raised by grandparents I did learn much about this man personally. Yes evil of course yet when we look at the fact he never actually killed anyone yet was a ruler and so powerful I agree somewhere and somehow he was very clever in his ruling.

I agree he may have been a good leader but he was one sick person..watching film the boy in stripped pajamas the other night made me realise how awful a person he was..wasn’t even a dignified death they had either gassed to death? Could have least done it so they didn’t have to suffer. X

The point of the post was just to get people thinking. I have never actually heard anyone with the same opinion. Hitler was my gcse history focus and I passed . I find him fascinating. To be clear I do NOT agree with his views BUT having studied his life I can see how he came to that way of thinking. That is I understand the way his mind worked.
I catagorically state I dont think he was right. He was wrong , but that doesnt change my view.
