I had a terrible pregnancy as I suffered from hypermesis gravidum, which isa severe form of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy. I also had bleeding from 6 weeks up until I was 12 weeks pregnant.I ended up having 15 scans in total.

At 34 weeks + 2 days they broke the news to me that my daughter had  intrauterine growth restriction and unless she was born within the next 48 hours she wouldnt make it.

My labour was induced on the 12th feb 2010 at 10.00am via a gel and another gel 6 hours later..

I was put on a drip to start the contractions, I had an allergic reaction to it and had to have it put in my other hand. I had my waters broke for me.

I pushed for an hour but she became stuck, I had to be cut, which resulted in 31 stitches . I had no pain relief .

My daughter was born 4lb 6oz on the 13th February 2010, she is now a happy 2 year old.

This post has got me thinking. With my pregnancy with auron , my bump was measuring 32cms from 30 weeks up until he was delivered at 40+4. Id been telling my midwife that i was concerned the whole time but she just kept brushing it off. Then i had my mw appointment at 40+2 and saw a different midwife by luck! she checked my bp and said it was high , she then measured my tummy and said i was measuring considerably smaller than i should have been, she checked my previous appointment notes and looked suprised. She sent us straight down the hospital where i was scanned and told auron had stopped growing at 34 weeks aswell! I was told to come back the next day for induction. Makes me realise how fortunate we were, he had been in there for 6 weeks with no growth .. he still came out at 6lb3 though! and thankfully he was fine. But makes me realise there is so much that could have gone wrong :(
