Being a mother is a full time job, it is hard to remember we are also women and yes, even mums have needs. The husband and I arranged for a few hours out of our role as mum and dad last night, we went out for a meal. His leg brushed up against mine under the table, I giggled in the schoolgirl way, we were parents we could not possibly behave this way.

“So are you up for a bit of fun later?” he whispered. “Maybe even get the rabbit out”.

The rabbit?  I can not remember where I even hid the rabbit. No, not the type you keep in a hutch, he was talking about my box of Ann Summers treats, the ones we had bought years ago, when we had first started dating.

I thought back to those days when I would care what lingerie I was wearing and felt a little guilty I was wearing the big old granny pants and a bra that was once white but now resembled grey, I was hardly dressed to impress. You forget to dress in that sexy way when the best part of your day is spent changing nappies and running back and forth on the school run.

The shoe box full of Sex Toys I own I am sure by now has gathered dust and perhaps I need to be looking at replacing the poor rabbit at least. I would love to surprise the husband with a newer version and feel more woman than mother at times, even if its only at bedtime.

I was looking at the Ann Summers website as lets face it they have it all and came across a new lingerie range, the Newcastle United’s new lingerie line is a big hit with fans and as im a Northern girl and he a huge Man United fan, I can not wait to see his face when he undresses me to reveal black and white. What do we think? Dare I?
