The First Flutters
Every pregnancy is different and but you should expect feel your baby move for the first time, at around 16 – 20 weeks, It is a wonderful experience and reminder that your baby is really there and growing healthily. But please remember, all pregnancies are slightly different if you are worried contact your Midwife who will happily listen to babies heartbeat.
Further Baby Movements
Between 24 to 28 weeks – Around this time it is not unusual to feel your baby hiccup and while sudden loud noises won’t do them any harm, they might make them move around a little more.
Around 29 weeks approx -It will suddenly starts getting a lot more cramped inside the womb so any movements baby will make, even the smallest one may feel alot stronger.
Around 32 weeks approx – Baby will more likely become even more active before starting to get into their position hopefully head down at around 36 weeks.Space will be tighter and baby will have become a lot stronger, this is when you might find baby movements very uncomfortable during this time.
36 to 40 weeks -It is normal to experience a lot less kicking towards the end, so don’t worry if movements slow down. It’s still important that you feel your baby move.10 movements in any 24-hour period is considered the norm.
Remember if you’re worried about your baby,Contact your GP or MW for reassurance.

i felt the first flutters with baby number 2 about 11 weeks (thought i was 10weeks but dating scan puts me 5days ahead ) .. i cant remember with reanne when i first felt flutterings or movement tho xx
with Joshua my 1st i didnt feel anything till a couple of weeks after 20week scan, prob about 22weeks! This time i started to feel wriggles around 15-16weeks and now at 24 weeks im proper getting booted! I can actually see my bump move and OH can too! Its the best feeling in the world
Its amazing how much sooner you feel it the 2nd time round! xx
My first son woke up me up xmas day night with his first kicks. I was absolutely over the moon. My oh was asleep and i woke him up to tell him and he was like no your imagining it! He was half asleep. But i knew it.
He would kick along to shaggys it wasent me that was in the charts at the time, and move around almost like he was dancing.
He would kick the drs when they examined me, and if i put my hand on my tummy from 37 weeks on he would stick a hand or foot up to where my hand was. It was amazing!
My lo we called Mr wiggles when he was inside me he moved all the time. there was one evening when I went to watch my partners bro play in a band and at one point the music went loud and my lo kicked me so hard in the stomach people wondered what was wrong with me as I looked strange. lol. I wonder if he liked the music or was trying to tell me he didnt like it. He enjoys music now.

I loved feeling my babies flutters. My first was a lot more active than my second. he worried me as he never seemed to move all that much. Midwife just said its because he’s male and he’s lazy lol. He’s a very active little boy now though, just started toddling
.
My first loved it when i went out, esp if there was music. Mummy on cold water and the bass going through my bump and she’d be wiggling around having a boogie
xx
Feeling your baby move inside you is the best feeling in the world, with my first I felt the movements at 18 weeks and he was quite an active baby who liked to get his feet stuck in my ribs but with my second I felt the movements at 14 weeks and she was a night baby, woke up at 11pm every night an kicked the whole night through! X
Awww baby movements are just so cute and reasurring to any mother carrying. best feeling ever xx
Awww I remember the 1st time I felt both my babies move, I remember the times when only I cud feel them but no1 else cud, was very special that created my strong bond between pregnancy and motherhood….just rememberin it makes me broody lol x x
With Josh, I felt him move the first time about 18 weeks, I think the most amazing time was being kicked on my 20 weeks scan – seeing him do it as i felt it. He was always very active and never seemed to stop kicking, the only downside was that towards the end the movements seemed to be quite painful. I wish I could go back to those kicks though, they were amazing! x
with my 1st son i stopped feeling movements at 30 weeks so spent every other day in hospital being strapped up to machines.. so lost all bonding…
with this bubba he is so active and i LOVE feeling him kick and jump and twist etc best feeling ever i am going to miss it once hes born… xxx
i felt the first proper kicks from dylan at about 23 weeks and felt first proper kicks with rylee at about 20 weeks x x
Wow I can honestly say I didn’t find out I was pregnant till I was 32 weeks and even then when I went for my scan I was 34
so I missed out in a way knowing she was growing, but when I got to the last 2 weeks I really felt her at night when laying down and could see bits poking at my tummy , best experience ever x
Its the best feeling in the world…my LO was a bigger for hiccups throughout the second & third trimester!!! He was definitely a night time baby as he kicked, punched & wriggled like mad as soon as I lay down to go to sleep!!! =]
xXxXx
With my first I felt movement around 15 weeks and with this one I felt the movements at 10 weeks! She is really active now at 27 weeks! x
best feeling was wathcing my belly move and knowing that was my baby trying to get comfy, even though my lg was never the most active in the womb lol x
i cant really remember the 1st movements from either of mine!
but with both round 29week, they kicked me so hard i jumped across the room shouting!
I remember feeling the first movements from all of my 3 and you can’t beat that feeling it makes it all real
