Should you join in with Twitter Parties?

Tonight I had an hour of fun with The hash tag #inoccentkids, no I have not gone mad, I went to a Twitter Party. See you even get invited to parties when blogging. I found the party on Red Ted Art’s blog so thought I would join in. It was all based upon the brand Innocent  Kids who do juice, smoothie and fruit tubes for children.

It really got you thinking of fun and healthy lunch box ideas, but Red Ted Art got me baffled when she asked us to “name celebrities using vegetable names”, come on Mrs I am tired and while I was thinking of a vegetable, I had forgotten the celebs name I had chosen.

All in all it was a fun party and I have lots of new ideas to try in the kids school lunch boxes.

I had  a few ask me what I was doing using #innocentkids on all my tweets, so I thought I would basically write up what I was doing, incase any of my followers think I have lost the plot.

A Twitter Party is a fun virtual party using Twitter, they usually last between an hour or two and are a great way to get involved if you normally shy away. Get connected, share ideas and meet new Tweeters.

How does a twitter party work?

All you have to do to join in with a party is use the # (hash tag) and include this hash tag within your tweet. I use Tweetdeck so I can add the parties hash tag to a column so its easier to follow. The host will provide you with what the hash tag will be.

Why you should join in

• Its great fun
• Gets the brain working
• Gets you connecting with others
• Hopefully you will find new leads to follow
• You may also gain some new followers
