The brainwave to accept contributions to the blog to allow others to blog anonymously was not a brainstorm idea, indeed it was not my idea at all. The structure of The Real Supermum Blog changed dramatically when the first reader asked if they could share their story but remain anonymous.
This first anonymous blog post opened up the flood gates and the posts came flooding in. This has become a popular feature to this blog, you will find a wide variety of them here.
How To Blog Anonymously
Search for a blog that accepts anonymous guest posts, a Google search would provide a list. When this blog is used, I either receive a Facebook inbox message or an email requesting the post to be added anonymously.
Why Do People Blog Anonymous?
I have found that the posts given to me to share anonymously are those that contain experiences that involve abuse, domestic violence, are mental illness related or are deep thoughts and fears.
There are many reasons to blog anonymous
- Some feel ashamed
- Various posters feel guilty
- Many fear the reaction of others and the judgement they may receive
- The writer may want to keep the information disclosed from family members
- It maybe a blogger who does not wish to disclose their name for personal reasons
What ever the reason behind keeping your name secret, blogging anonymously gives you the perfect opportunity to share your deepest secrets, fears or thoughts.
The Real Supermum Blog is proud to offer an anonymous blog site feature.
What are your views on anonymous blog posts?
Would you share your fears if your anonymity was protected?
Do you feel this is a beneficial feature to a blog?

I love that we can blog annonymously
x
I have done some of the blogs on here and only put my name to a couple, one it wasent my intention to name myself but my blog had a lot of replys that genuinely shocked me and a result of naming myself in a post on that blog has led to some private positive messages.
I think not being under pressure to name yourself gives you the freedom of truth.
You can write what you need too , no matter how shocking and know that people may comment but they will never know its come from you if you don’t want that revealed.
It’s a fantastic way to exorcise demons if you have them.
I think its great people get the oppourtunity to blog with there identity hidden it means they have had the oppourtunity to share their story/experience with others and may not have to worry about certain people seeing it,
its brilliant that we can share apart of ourselves that we may feel ashamed by etc and then seeing the positive things that people reply to its really like therapy stepping up and saying i wrote this and almost admitting it to yourself openly ackowledging what you have written and declaring it to the world, brilliant xx
i agree with it, some people will be more open to disscusions, they dont want their name over the internet for anyone to see their feelings/idea/worries etc.
i think its brilliant x
it is fab
