I came across a very interesting concept, virtual fake dating. Basically you create a person for yourself and then go and date other fake person?
Cloud Girlfriend is a site that allows virtual fake dating. Users set up an idealized version of themselves with likes and dislikes and then select a date with other fake virtual idealized versions of other people. Ultimately Cloud Girlfriend believes that people will reveal themselves and might find a date in the process.
Well I have heard some very nice stories about meeting the love of your life on dating sites, I met Matt online. I am not quite sure about this fake dating idea tho. Is not being honest and real about who you are part of dating or even finding someone who is compatible with you? I would much rather see real pictures and real identities than fake profiles and fake pictures. Yes I know very well the horror stories too, none of us know who we are really talking to online, especially dating sites.
